The Theme is Heat and Air!

Welcome to Monday night...yep, I'm late! Some may say it’s not very motivating to run so far behind, but I would argue its very motivating to stay in the race. Yes, I always stay in the race but I'm not always happy with my place. Some days I think if I just sit down and wait it out, I can get back in at the head of the pack. It may not be fair, but who's really watching anyway? Is there an official in the race of life? Laughing!

This has been a crazy week. My hair dryer died but I wasn't too worried since I had a spare. Little did I know in all the time it was there as my backup, when it came time to step in, it only blew cold air. Have you ever tried to dry your hair without heat? Two hair dryers down in one day, and I might add, they're not cheap! We also found that our heater is giving us fits. Once it reaches the desired (per our setting) temp and turns off, it really "turns off," as if the pilot light goes out. Staying with a theme of heat and air, Dave went out on Saturday morning to find the Durango had a flat tire. Doh! His Saturday was suddenly scheduled with picking me up a new hair dryer, putting the spare tire on the Durango, and he seemed to find that we can reset the heater but it's done from the main outside unit and we've had to do it more than once. It's clear to me that we need to spend some quiet time practicing gratitude as the universe (or whatever higher power you believe in) is challenging us right now.

Saturday for me was a bit of a different story in that I spent most of the day in a photography class - I loved it! I'm hungry to learn more and really put my skills to good use. Looking back through most of my life, I've always loved photography and enjoyed the creative process on both sides of the camera. Now it's time to practice and master the skills outside of the Automatic feature of a camera that can do so much more!

Now I have to finish homework and get Mason ready for school to tomorrow. I hope you all are not feeling as challenged by life as we are and are finding life a little easier to roll with. Welcome to a new week.
