Snowbound!

Hello All!

We get all kinds of gifts and they come in many different formats. Today we are being given the gift of time. I say that because we are in Truckee and had planned to come home this morning. Yesterday when the big storm blew in, they closed roads over the summit so all the travelers planning to go home yesterday are sitting in traffic today. To make matters worse for them, the storm is not any better today and though they have not closed the roads, they are holding traffic for winds (110 mph over the summits) and periodic white out conditions. So we are staying over one more night.

I have to keep this short today since I am on Miss Mary's computer with cellular wireless card and this fancy technology is a by the minute deal.

Have a wonderful week and we'll send pictures when we get home!

Lots of love,

Kathy

President's Day

Happy President's Day!

Hopefully you have the day off but being a working mother, I never get the day off. Well, that's not all the way true, Dave did give me Mother's Day off and it was wonderful, but most other days, "Hi - Ho, Hi - Ho, it's off to work I go..."

So yesterday I wrote two offers on houses for both my clients I am representing. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they both end up accepted and I can stop showing houses every evening instead of being home with my boys. I guess if I was home I would be studying for my brokers test and writing my book. This is a year of work, work, work and prosper, prosper, prosper! The cool thing is that I am quite comfortable with the real estate contract so when the opportunity presents itself at any point in the future, I will not only be ready but confident.

I have lots more to tell but have to save it for next week. I have to go to bed so I can get up leaving enough time to workout before I start another very busy day. Have a great week and make great things happen in your life starting with today!

Lots of love,

Kathy

You are worthy

You are worthy of the best in life. It's not because anyone tells you so or gives you permission to be, but because you know deep down that you are.

You have every reason to feel great about the good and valuable things you have done. You have the ability to expand on that goodness, on that value, on your own special gifts.

Where you are is a very good place to be. For you are in a position to truly make a difference by expressing and fulfilling your most deeply held values and dreams.

Certainly things are not perfect, and your world is filled with difficult challenges. Yet there is real treasure hidden within those challenges, for you have what it takes to move successfully through them.

You know how great it feels to accomplish something positive and meaningful. Listen to that feeling, for it connects you to your purpose and your ability to do great things.

Whatever you can imagine, you are worthy of reaching. Choose to make everything in your life worthy of the unique and valuable person you are.

It's Raining!

It worked! Thank you to each and every one of you who did your rain dance last week!

Here we are starting another new week and it is the week of love...yes, Wednesday is Valentines day and this will be the first Valentines day in 3 years that Dave and I will be together. I hope you have plans with your loved one and that means that your loved one can be your best friend, family and even, the best love, you!

We have some big news in the Partak family. I think all of you know that Dave is adopted and that I gave a child up for adoption 16 years ago. With that, we have had many conversations about the day Michael may look for me and Dave looking for his biological mother. Well, last month we located the information that Dave's mother passed away in 1995 and though that is sad, Dave also learned that he has three sisters and has been communicating with two of them extensively. They are very glad that Dave contacted them and we are planning to meet the youngest of the three, Kisti and her husband Mark this weekend. They live in San Martin, south of San Jose. She is three years older than Dave and through the e-mails, seems like a woman with a great outlook on life, smart and funny. His sister JK, lives with her family in Massachusetts, is also very excited about knowing Dave, Mason and me. JK is seven years older than Dave and is trying to figure out why she doesn't remember her mother being pregnant. The oldest of the three girls is Ruth and though she lives in San Jose has some sort of mental disability and with that, Dave has not communicated with her yet. It is quite an experience and for the most part, the start of what we hope is a wonderful journey. For now, Dave is as giddy as I have ever seen him and I love seeing him get answers to the questions he has had for so many years.

I hope you all have a great week and make the most of this week of love. Open your heart and tell the people you love that you love them and hug as many people as you can. It makes them feel good and will do wonders for your spirit too! And just in case you don't get a Valentine, let me be the first to say "I love you!" Enjoy this Motivator, I think it says what many of us cannot.

Be Mine,

Kathy

With love

Put no demands on love, and love will bring you much. Give love away, and it will be yours in greater and greater abundance.

With love, what was weak will grow strong. With love, what was impossible becomes real.

Love can find the beauty and value in even the most desperate situation. Love will bring hope where nothing else can.

Though love cannot be explained, it can never be denied. Love has its own reality that transcends the most oppressive limitations.

Love elevates what it touches to a higher dimension. When love is present, fears are calmed, wounds begin to heal, and joy is gloriously within reach.

Love, not because there is a reason, but because there is the possibility. Love, and you will know what you cannot understand.

Cleveland Rocks!

Happy February!

This year is on its way to speeding by. I am home from Cleveland and feeling better. Other than being sick, Cleveland was fun. I got to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and made some new friends. Annette was the only other woman in my class and my roommate so our friendship was inevitable and hopefully we will stay in touch and become great friends.

Back and home and finally back on CA time, Dave, Mason and Riley were all happy to see me. Funny how that works, they were all happy to see me in their own ways. Dave was happy to no longer have to do all the Mason duties by himself, Mason was happy to see me and the first words out of his mouth at 7:30 AM were "Did you bring me a present?" and Riley was the most happy to see me just because I am me! Dave teased me that I missed Riley the most and my reply was simple, if he missed me as much when I returned from a week long trip as he did when I returned from just going to the street to get the mail like Riley does, I would be happiest to see him too! You get back what you put out, the law of attraction.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and your team won. At least if your team did not win, I hope you won some money in the football pool. And if your team lost and you didn't win any money then the best we can hope for is that you had a good time eating and drinking. If you have a rain dance, please do it. We need rain and snow desperately and with that, have a great first week in February! Enjoy the motivator and the picture of Annette and I at the R&R Hall of Fame.

Lots of love,
Kathy
